HOMESTAY FAMILIES

White Rock Christian Academy runs a homestay programme for our international students in Grade 8 and above. This experience provides students with the security and love of a ‘home-away-from-home’ as they navigate a new culture and the ups and downs of teenage life.

The opportunity to stay in an English speaking family provides students with a springboard to quickly improve their English.

We believe that by placing students in Christian homes it affirms the message of God’s love they hear at school. By becoming a homestay family you broaden your family’s global perspective as you learn about a different culture and way of thinking.

HOMESTAY HOST FAMILY APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Read the Homestay Rules & Guidelines brochure.
2. Complete the Homestay Application Form and e-mail to louwc@wrca.ca.
3. Once received and approved, a meeting time will be set up in your home with our homestay coordinator (Cindy Louw).
4. On approval we will request a photo of your family and the outside of your home in a Word document. This is then sent to prospective homestay families.

We do our best to ensure that it’s a good fit for both the homestay family and the student. Therefore, having completed the process does not guarantee you a student and may also take some time to confirm.
