To best achieve our core purpose, to inspire and cultivate citizens of Godly character who transform their world for Christ, funding beyond tuition and government subsidy is necessary. Please assist us in providing unique furnishings to all students, which not only enhance collaborative IB learning but also enable students to work within COVID-19-related safety protocols.
The Annual Drive is our annual fundraising initiative to simplify giving. All parents of existing students are asked to participate and show solidarity in this act of community generosity, to whatever degree they are able to help support our activities and initiatives throughout the school year. Our major fundraising initiatives for this year include tuition and pandemic relief, but we are also requiring assistance with furnishing our Phase 2 classrooms.
WRCA has embarked on an ambitious redevelopment project for the campus. This three phase project will expand the capacity of the school by over 33%, gradually eliminate the need for portables, and create the space necessary to efficiently deliver our programs. “Rooted Deep, Reaching High” is our fundraising campaign in support of this project. Click here for more information about our future building and capital campaign.
Each year we host two major fundraising events – the WRCA Gala and the WRCA Golf Tournament. The gala and auction proceeds support capital purchases such as internet infrastructure, library materials, and a school bus. The golf tournament helps fund bursaries for students who can’t afford all of the expenses associated with sports teams, and stipends to help support and develop our coaches.
Gifts of Cash
Personal cheques and credit cards are the easiest way to make financial gifts to the school. Use the links below to donate by credit card, or stop by our office to drop off a cheque. Cheques should be made out to WRCA and should indicate the fundraising initiative being supported. For example, for the Annual Drive, make the cheque payable to “WRCA” and write “Annual Drive” in the memo line. You may also E-Transfer your donations to email@example.com.
Gifts of Securities
Donate publicly traded securities (shares or mutual funds) directly to WRCA and pay no capital gains tax on the gains realized while receiving a full charitable tax receipt.
How it Works:
1. Indicate “White Rock Christian Academy Society” as the charity you wish to donate your securities to through a charity foundation registered with the CRA or your local financial institution.
2. Confirm your donation with the development office at WRCA.
3. An acknowledgement will be sent to you describing your gift, receipt date, and value for your tax records.
Life insurance and bequests (a direction in your will for money, assets, or a portion of your estate) may be designated to WRCA.
Some companies match their employees’ gifts. Donors simply need to contact their Human Resources offices for the appropriate forms and forward them with their gifts to WRCA for completion. More details coming soon.
