At WRCA our community includes students from abroad. International students from all over the world come and study at WRCA. There are no boarding facilities at WRCA and instead, students are assigned to homestay families. All international students applying from overseas need to complete the International Test for English Proficiency (iTEP) exams for admission.
WRCA also has a partnership with Chukyo High school in Japan. In 1987, the two schools signed an agreement to be sister schools. Each year Grade 11 Japanese students who enroll in Chukyo High School’s International Student Program will come to Canada to study abroad for a year. While in Canada the students live with homestay families for their 11-month stay (April – February). The program is set up to teach English through a subject-based curriculum. Throughout the year the students also learn about Canadian culture from a Christian perspective and participate in Canadian summer camps, sightseeing activities and field trips.
