Rooted Deep, Reaching High: Capital Campaign

WRCA has embarked on an ambitious redevelopment project for the campus. This three phase project will expand the capacity of the school by over 33%, gradually eliminate the need for portables, and create the space necessary to efficiently deliver our programs. “Rooted Deep, Reaching High” is our fundraising campaign in support of this project.

The Need

Studies show that the younger a child comes to know the Lord, the more likely he or she is to remain faithful to Jesus. In fact, surveys have shown that 85% of those who become Christians do so between the ages of four and fourteen.

The demand for an excellent all rounded education with a Christian world view is in high demand as our waiting list for all Grade 9 classes and below show. To facilitate this growth, maintain the standard of excellence and prepare our students for the 21st century we need new facilities.

Phase 1

The New Junior School Building

With Gods help the building committee secured the financing to build a new 2 story, 47,000 sq. ft. elementary school for Junior Kindergarten – Grade 5 and our arts department.
The new building and underground parking area opened in September 2018.

Phase 2

The New Senior School Building & Junior Kindergarten Classroom

We have moved straight into Phase 2 which saves on costs and is the next critical step on a path to long term program stability and financial security, a path that secures the opportunity for students to pursue Christian education on the peninsula for generations to come.

Phase 2 includes:

  • New Gr 6-12 classrooms
  • New Science Lab and Facilities
  • New JR Kindergarten classroom
  • Reclaiming the school fields
  • Over 50 additional underground parking stalls

The Ask

A project of this scope requires the participation of the entire community. We value the contributions of every member of our extended WRCA family. We have made ourselves available and initiated meetings with every family to share more information about the project and to explore the potential for financial participation in the campaign.

We understand not every family can participate in the same way or to the same level and we look forward to engaging in dialogue with you. In this process we are asking families not to make equal gifts but to consider equal sacrifice to help build a legacy for Christian education on the Peninsula for generations to come.
